Orca Anatomy by SkyebobPiepants Orca Anatomy by SkyebobPiepants
Proportions of an adult female orca.

Now, I don't know if this is perfect, but I think it works pretty well and it definitely helps me draw decently proportioned orcas.

I specify it to work for adult females, because from what I've noticed, calves are more 'compact'. I don't know how well it would work for males. I can't imagine drawing boys would be too different, they would just be bulkier.

But anyway, this helps me, so I thought it might also help other orca artists out there :)

Thanks, I'm glad its helpful! :)
I probably should have drawn it bigger and better and easier to read. It was rushed, I didn't realize so many people would be interested lol.

Absolutely awesome! While I can't draw my way out of a wet paper bag, I love being able to see how others are able to draw these beautiful animals. Your circle system really makes sense to me and I'm glad you posted it!

This would seriously help me out with drawing Orca. I haven't for a while and I found a helpful chart by another artist. I also like how yours shows a close up of the female. :D

Indeed it was^^ Orcas are not as common in art as it may appear and so you don't find an anatomy sheet for them around every corner :)

this is great!! i thinki told u before that i used be obsessed with drawing orcas, as they r one of my fav animals ^^. but this is great, will help me for the future ^^. i absolutely love male orcas though, omg, they r magnificent. they r much bulkier, and their fins are massive! also, there flippers r huuge! they r soo lovely! i kinda prefer males to females, you should make a male one ^^. but i love this, looks like afemale too ^^. great job!!
